On Monday, September 3rd:

Labor Day Prayer

While a national holiday (and not a religious day), we can remember all those who labor and toil for the good of all our communities.

Creator Lord, the source of all wisdom and purpose, and the blessing of those who labor; be with us in our work to guide and govern our world. Give to all people work that enhances human dignity and bonds us to one another. Give us pride in our work, a fair return for our labor, and joy in knowing that our work finds its source in You; through Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen. 

On Tuesday, September 4th, let us pray for:

  • Pray that Sherly will have complete healing of health issues and for comfort and strength for her and her family.  Pearland, TX

  • Pray for continued healing of Danny for health difficulties.  Houston, TX

  • Melody needs prayers for a Christian companion friend, a financial breakthrough, better health and a good church to attend.  Canal Winchester

  • Archangel Revelations is asking prayers that God fills him/her and family with His Holy Presence, blessings, guidance, wisdom, energy, strength, healing, deliverance, favor, protection, provisions, peace and the eternal binding of the wicked.  Pray also that God ensures that his/her employment pay check correctly arrive to him/her on time , that God provides for, leads, delivers and heals all of his/her concerns.

Dear Father,

We praise You, Father of all;

We thank You for calling us to be Your people,

And for choosing us to give You glory.

For all You have given,

Thank You God.

For all You have withheld,

Thank You God.

For all You have withdrawn,

Thank You God.

For all You have permitted,

Thank You God.

For all You have prevented,

Thank You God.

For all You have forgiven us,

Thank You God.

For all You have prepared for us,

Thank You God.

For the place You are keeping for us in Heaven,

Thank You God and,

For having created us to love You for eternity,

Thank You God for Your Grace and for sacrificing

Your precious Son for us that we may have hope of

eternal salvation,

      A Prayer of Love and Hope

Dear Father God,

Lord, may nothing separate me from You today and every day. Teach me how to choose only Your way so each step will lead me closer to You. Help me walk by the Word and not my feelings. Help me to keep my heart pure and undivided. Protect me from my own careless thoughts, words, and actions.

Keep me from being distracted by MY wants, MY desires, MY thoughts on how things should be. Help me to embrace what comes my way as an opportunity.

Lord, sometimes life gets me down and I find it hard to see things to be thankful for. Open my eyes to see the gifts you’ve given me in my life.

And finally, help me to rest in the truth of  Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”  I consciously tuck Your whisper of absolute love for me into the deepest part of my heart.

You loved us so much that You sent Your only begotten Son to lay down His sinless life as the perfect sacrifice for our sins so that by that death and resurrection, all who believe in Him might not perish, but have everlasting life. In Your Precious Son, Jesus Christ Name. Amen
